We present the pinnacle of our Hong Cha (red tea) collection – this year we managed to obtain a small batch of the original from the oldest tree in the Great Snow Mountain Nature Reserve in the Lincang region.
This product is prepared using the Shai Hong method, which involves sun-drying the tea leaves without the use of electric ovens, allowing them to be stored indefinitely and only gain new life with the passage of time.
We used Da Xue Shan Cha Wang Shu, a spring harvest of 2025, which is over 2,700 years old! It grows at the very top of the mountain, over 2,200 meters above sea level. We visited this tree during our "second tea expedition" to Yunnan Province in 2018.
This fresh tea has a stunningly sweet taste, with notes of fruit and berries. The powerful, meditative Cha Qi is noticeable from the very first cup.
An excellent option for long-term aging, the offer is extremely limited!
